Thanks for the great list. I’m going to use some of these resources in my EFL classes and to help me practice a few foreign languages on my own. Using images & Google image search really helped me with Japanese vocabulary.

Have you considered starting a thread on virtual worlds? Some schools, e.g. John Hanson School, are already using Second Life, but so far I am not aware of any school that is using it to teach MFL. See this Teachers TV video about John Hanson School:

Text to speech software programs are extremely useful for language teaching and learning, especially for teaching pronunciation and listening skills. For example, Panopreter Plus ( http://www.panopreter.com ), it’s a good tool for Windows 7 or vista users. The software reads text and converts the text to mp3 and wave audio files with the voice of Microsoft Anna. Best of all, it’s very simple to use.
